Frames are No Fun – Transfer Photos onto Stone Instead!
I've already shown you how to transfer a photograph onto wood, but this time, what about getting that image onto stone? The process is relatively similar, and so I'thousand actually thinking of integrating both methods for a large brandish.
I love the natural yet industrial look and feel that you get from stone (much like the raw, industrial elegance of concrete block furniture). Although this video uses images that are exactly the same size every bit the stones, don't feel the need to piece of work it out quite so perfectly. Yous could take this to a much larger or smaller scale if you want, or even make a dainty big collage of your family unit or all the places yous've visited.

Yous will need:
- Make clean stone
- Laser or toner printed photograph
- Varnish
- Transfer medium
- Brush
- Damp fabric
Apply the transfer medium to the rock equally well as the image and identify information technology where you want it – make certain to push out all the air pockets. This then has to dry for about eight hours. Once fourth dimension is upwards, get your damp fabric and apply that to advisedly rub the paper off of the rock, then simply seal your newly-printed stone with some varnish. It'south as piece of cake as that! I suggest sticking with blackness and white images only equally the colored ink may non transfer quite besides.
Another easy tutorial explains this technique here VillaBarnes – Playing With Rocks.
